Using discreet mode
How discreet mode changes the app's appearance and name to protect your privacy.
Discreet mode is designed for environments where you need the app to look like something mundane — a notes app or productivity tool — to any casual observer.
What changes in discreet mode
- The app title becomes "Daily Tasks" in the browser tab and installed PWA
- The TiedUp logo and branding are replaced with a plain neutral icon and name
- The colour scheme shifts to a calm slate/grey palette
- No functionality is disabled — all features work identically
What does not change
- Your data — nothing is hidden, moved, or deleted
- Your partners can still see shared rules as normal
- The URLs remain the same (e.g. /app/today)
Enabling discreet mode
Go to Settings and toggle "Discreet mode" on. The change takes effect immediately. You can also enable it by default so it activates every time you open the app.
Combine discreet mode with PIN lock and auto-lock for the strongest privacy on shared devices.
Quick hide
The "Quick hide" button in the sidebar immediately activates discreet mode and blurs the main content area — useful when someone approaches. Tap it again to restore normal view.
