Getting started with TiedUp

A quick walkthrough of TiedUp from signup to your first logged rule entry.

TiedUp helps you track rules, commitments, and habits — privately, with optional partner accountability. This article walks you through the core loop so you can get up and running in a few minutes.

1. Create your account

Sign up with your email address and password. No OAuth or third-party login is required. After creating your account, you'll receive a verification email — click the link inside to unlock partner features.

You can start tracking rules immediately after signup. Email verification is only needed for inviting or accepting partners.

2. Complete your profile

Head to Settings and add a display name or username. This is shown to partners and in any shared views. You can also set your role label (e.g. submissive, dominant, pet, handler) and pronouns.

3. Create your first rule

Go to Rules → New rule. Give your rule a title, pick a type (daily, weekly, one-time, ongoing, or situational), and set a priority. A description and tags are optional but help with organisation later.

  1. 1

    Title

Keep it short and specific. "Morning exercise" is better than "Be healthier".

  2. 2

    Type

Choose daily if you want to log it every day, weekly for once-a-week commitments, or situational for context-dependent rules.

  3. 3

    Priority

    Required = must-do, Encouraged = strong intention, Aspirational = best-effort.

4. Log your first entry on Today

Open the Today view. You'll see rules that are due right now. Pick a status — Completed, Partial, Skipped, or Missed — and optionally add a note or a mood score (1–10). Hit Submit.

5. Explore the rest

  • Analytics → heatmaps, streaks, and adherence rates per rule
  • Check-ins → general mood and reflection entries separate from rules
  • Partners → invite someone to share selected rules with
  • Community → browse and share rule templates others have published
